Natal Astrology provides an in-depth picture of the individual as a unique person, based on the time, date, and place of birth.

Rule

There are over a dozen factors in a birth chart that, combined, create a unique picture of the individual.  These include the luminaries and planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto); the signs the luminaries and planets are in; the house each body falls in; the aspects the bodies make to each other; and other factors (including the Moon Nodes, Ascendant, Midheaven, and asteroids).

Below is a sample natal (or birth) chart.

Each glyph, or symbol, in this chart represents something.  The triangular box in the bottom left corner is the aspect grid, which shows what aspects exist between what planets.  The small boxes on the bottom right represent the elements and modalities of the planets.
