she speaks in new disguises

Once I was a flower
Now I am a moon encircled by two bright stars

Once I was a honeybee
Now I am the earth-nourished root

Once I walked in shadows
Speaking with ravens in tongues you do not know
Now I am the slender shoot straining through the heavy snow

Come to me
I open my arms to the dance and you
Let me shower you with a thousand golden stars
Swirling around you like some mad volcano
All power and wild grace
Reflected in the beauty of your face

I will take you to places you dare not go
Through the caves filled with floods
To the mountains suckling the sky
To beauty too precious for your eyes

I will give you silent wisdom
Joy and mad fear locked in passionate embrace
The balance,
The beauty,
The grace.
